Product: Kids Gym Treadmill Junior Workout Kit
Rating: 9
Where to buy: target

Description: This is an exercise treadmill designed just for children ages 4 to 7. It looks just like Mom or Dad’s but made to fit the small children in your home. This treadmill is safe enough for any child to use.

Review: I loved working out on my treadmill but my children always wanted to get on it with me or would always need something when I would want to workout. So I went hunting for something that would occupy them too. I found just the right thing, this Kids Gym Treadmill Junior Workout Kit.

It looks just like my treadmill. It comes equipped with it’s own meter to measure their speed, time and distance.

It is very durable. Made of steel the kids can’t just take it apart. It also comes with foam covered safety and grip bars. This makes it easier for you little one to grip the bars and hold on. It also has little feet on the tread. It made it easy for me to show my child where his feet went and how to follow them as he walked on the treadmill. He got a kick out of watching the feet go around as he walked.

This treadmill is the perfect size for a small child to start on. Learning how to exercise and that it will help to keep you healthy at any early age is beneficial to any child. This treadmill is a great place to start.

Included with this treadmill is the 2007 edition of The Calorie King, Fat and Carbohydrate Counter. I found this to be very helpful in planning meals for my children and myself.

Cons: This treadmill is pretty easy to assemble except that it does take 2 people to put the bars together. It can be difficult sliding them into each other by yourself.

Catfish Lettuce Wraps

Note: you can substitute the catfish for any white fish that you like.

Ingredients:

6 large lettuce
1 medium carrot, shredded
1 small zucchini, shredded
1 1/2 pounds fresh catfish fillets, cut into 6 serving pieces
1 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions:

Wilt lettuce leaves. Placing in hot water for 1 minute can do this. You will see the lettuce leaves start to droop. Be sure to drain the leaves well after removing from water. Place lettuce leaves flat. Take a small portion (enough to cover lettuce leaf) of veggies and place in single layer in leaf leaving edges clear. Place a piece of catfish on top of the veggies. Add marjoram, salt and pepper taste. Put a small portion of butter on top. Fold leaf around veggies and catfish. Place in a large baking dish seam side down. Continue until all ingredients are used. Cover dish with aluminum foil. Place in a preheated 400 degree oven and bake approximately 30 minutes.

Pain Management the Natural and Healthy Way

There are many drugs and non natural treatments out there for arthritis, fibromyalgia, and many other chronic health problems that cause horrible pain. However, many of these treatments are not only bad for your body and over all health, they do little to help relieve the many times intense pain. Then of course there is the money factor. These "treatments" can be quite costly.

God designed a word that has MANY plants and natural things that can help treat, relieve, and in some cases heal painful diseases.

3 Main Tips to Relieve Chronic Pain the Natural and Healthy Way:
  1.  Diet. It is important to eat a healthy a well balanced diet. Try to eat more whole grains, and lean meats. Adding a healthy amount of FRESH fruits and vegetables to your diet is vital as well. There are MANY healthy produce out there that have not only relieved countless people of their pain, some people have been healed completely by them. A few of them are; acai, pomegranate, white grape, apple, acerola, pear, aronia, purple grape, cranberry, passion fruit, banana, apricot, prune, kiwi, blueberry, bilberry, camu camu, wolfberry and lychee. Also, you should eliminate or at least drastically reduce refined sugars, additives and other chemicals (think organic), and any foods you think you may be allergic to.
  2. Exercise. Not only can the chemicals produced during exercise help relieve pain and reduce fatigue, regular exercise can help you get to sleep faster and have a more restful sleep. Starting an exercise program may be difficult because it can increase fatigue for the first few weeks, but it you stick with it, you’ll be feeling better in no time
  3. Reduce Stress. Stress can not only make physical symptoms worse, it can also reduce your ability to cope with your symptoms and increase feelings of depression and anxiety. Take some time every day to unwind. You may also want to take up meditation or yoga.

If diet and lifestyle changes aren’t helping enough, you can head down to your local nutrition store and pick up a supplement that might do the trick. Just remember that just because they’re natural doesn’t mean they’re safe. Always talk to your doctor before taking any new medications.

Remember to check with your doctor before taking any of these supplements. Just because something is natural doesn’t mean it’s safe.

Natural Therapy Options
  • Massage therapy. This allows the muscles to relax and can help relieve some pain.
  • Scripture therapy. Who better to go to than your Daddy God when you need help? I encourage you to read the Word and put its principals into practice!
  • Physical Therapy. A trained physical therapist can give you specific exercises that are designed to work specific muscles and reduce your pain.

Obviously, you may not use all of these ideas. However, take the time to at least TRY the natural and healthy way to pain management. It will take patience and trial and error. However, in the end, you may find yourself pain free, or at the very least healthier and more manageable pain!
